Ballet Beginner

So I mentioned before that I signed on for ballet and modern dance workshops... because the lady in this video kicked me out of class (sort of)! :-) I started taking intro to dance, at this school, and it hit me. Take the workshop so Kathy won't kick your ass out again! I'd love to be in pointe shoes next year. It's so fun to have goals. I don't have much to report about the first couple of classes except I'm very excited so far and I'm really keen to learn and develop. I noticed what I've been reading has changed and I really feel motivated to get better at this. I picked up a few helpful reads from the library.

Ballet Basics 4th Edition by Sandra Noll Hammond

The Classic Ballet: Basic Technique & Terminology by George Balanchine
Ballet for Dummies by Scott Speck and Evelyn Cisneros

There are a few helpful forums and convos floating around about being an adult beginner to ballet. I guess my two cents are the immediate challenges I'm facing - 1) Not getting injured and 2) Finding whatever the hell these elusive turnout muscles are (NOTE: I think I found them. They're aching).
